I’m being asked to accept a Helium Account Agreement or a Publisher Agreement. Why?

Helium Account Agreements

When you register for RRD Content Source, you will be prompted to accept the Helium Account Agreement and Privacy Policy. You must check off the box and agree to the terms in order to register successfully and use the RRD Content Source platform. Clicking on the title of each agreement will bring up a separate window with the full text of the terms so you can review them before agreeing.

Publisher Agreements

The first time you accept an assignment for a publisher (aka, an RRD Content Source client), you will be prompted to review the publisher agreement. The publisher agreement explains the terms you’re agreeing to as a freelance writer or editor producing work for that client.

To accept the agreement:

  • Click into the checkbox at the end of the agreement indicating that you have read and accepted the agreement.
  • Select Accept.
  • The task you selected will move from the Available Work section to the Things Ready to be Worked On or Tasks That You Have Accepted or Are Committed to in the Future sections on your homepage, depending on if it’s ready for you to work on.

You will have to accept the agreement just once for each publisher. It will come up again only if something in the agreement changes.
